Sculptural Flamework Class with Toronto's own Izik Levy!

We are thrilled to announce that Canadian based glass artist and designer Izik Levy will be with us, teaching in our studio - this weekend, July 18th/19th. Learn how to create with glass beyond the round bead! Students will be focused on crafting flowers on and off the mandril- learning tips and tricks when working with thin glass, ultimatley manipulating it with a different finesse.

"Utilizing a plethora of textures and a rich color pallet, Izik sculpts molten glass into graceful forms. His pieces are reminiscent of sea-creatures; a blend of booth organic and mechanical inspiration. In addition to his sandcast glass sculptures, Izik Levy has designed a collection of wearable glass art jewelry; Rockettoro.com features glass Robot Pendants and other collectables"

To see more of Izik's work you can visit his website or take a stoll down to the Pentimento Gallery at 1164 Queen East where his recent body of sandcast glass work is exhibited.

This weekend's class will be over 2 days - from 9.30-12.30 on both Saturday and Sunday and is charged at $225. Call 416 762 2333 or email (info@laperlerie.ca) us at the store to reserve your spot.... only 2 left! We hope you'll join us!
